Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK, delivering calm, confident service at every call.

Start and finish at home, with an RAC van, diagnostic kit and full uniform provided, enabling fast, reliable responses. Use your Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years in the trade, plus a clean UK licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.
