Job summary

RAC is seeking Roadside Technicians to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, repair vehicles and provide reassurance when members need us most.

Starting on demand-led shifts with an average of 40 hours per week, the role offers a structured development programme and IMI accreditation opportunities, plus overtime and progression paths.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform roadside diagnostics and repairs.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and emergency breakdown support.
• Ensure members continue their journeys safely with high-quality service.

Skills
