Octane Recruitment Limited is hiring a Roadside Technician in Wembley to provide field-based roadside assistance for a national breakdown service. The role offers a base salary and significant OTE, with overtime opportunities and a range of benefits.

Shifts cover 40 hours per week, with flexible overtime options. You will work from the van, attend breakdowns, perform quick repairs and advise on next steps to keep members mobile.

Qualifikationen

• Must have a minimum Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair, or Level 3 qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles in a workshop or mobile role.
• A customer-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence with max 6 points, no bans.

Aufgaben

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess faults quickly and accurately.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical roadside repairs (battery swaps, wheel changes, minor engine fixes).
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and review repair options.
• Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn't possible to restore mobility.
• Advise members on next steps, including recovery if needed.
• Work safely and efficiently in varied environments.

£36,400 OTE: In Excess of £61,000, opportunity to earn 70-80k+

Shift and schedule for the Roadside Technician role

40 hours per week between 6am and 12am, Monday to Sunday. Shifts are known 12 months in advance. Flexi overtime at x1.5 and/or optional fixed overtime at £30 per hour. All hours start and stop from home as soon as you start the van.

• Must have a minimum Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair, or ideally a Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Must have a minimum of 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles, either in a workshop or a mobile vehicle role.
• A customer-focused approach.
• Must have a full UK driving licence max 6 points, no bans.
