Job summary

The AA is looking for a Roadside Rescue Mechanic who can operate across varied locations, delivering quick, friendly service to members. You’ll use your technical skills to diagnose and fix issues on the roadside, while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction.

Expect a 40-hour week with flexible shifts and a comprehensive benefits package. The role rewards hands-on problem solving and dependable, customer-focused service in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
• Full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology we’ll provide the tools, you bring the curiosity.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays because breakdowns don’t stick to a schedule.

• Start and finish on your driveway; paid from the moment you get in your van to the moment you get home.
• Work independently across varied locations while remaining a valued part of a supportive team.
• Use your technical knowledge and clear communication to help ensure a positive customer experience.

Shifts:

As a patrol you will work on average 40 hour week with a variety of shift pattern options available, you have the flexibility to choose a schedule that best suits your personal and professional needs. The number of rest days you enjoy each year, as well as the length of your shifts will vary based on the shift pattern you select.
