Job summary

The AA is recruiting a Roadside Rescue Mechanic in the United Kingdom. You’ll work a 40-hour week across varied locations, using technical knowledge to assist members and resolve roadside issues. You’ll be part of a friendly team delivering quick, safe recoveries in all weather conditions and times.

Guaranteed first-year earnings of £43,976 with allowances, with an OTE up to £60,000 for top performers. The role includes a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing development opportunities

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
• Full UK driving licence, with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology with provided tools
• Flexibility to work shift patterns including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays

Responsibilities

• Starting and finishing on your driveway paid from the moment you get in your van to the moment you get home
• Working independently across varied locations and conditions, while remaining a valued part of a supportive team
• Using your technical knowledge and clear communication to help ensure a positive customer experience
• Solving problems on the spot, using your technical skills and calm approach to handle a wide range of roadside situations

Shifts:

As a patrol you will work on average 40 hour week with a variety of shift pattern options available, you have the flexibility to choose a schedule that best suits your personal and professional needs. The number of rest days you enjoy each year, as well as the length of your shifts will vary based on the shift pattern you select.

What do I need?

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
• It’s essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology we’ll provide the tools, you bring the curiosity.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays because breakdowns don’t stick to a schedule.
