Job summary

The AA is hiring a Roadside Rescue Mechanic in Leicester. You will start and finish each shift from your driveway, earning a guaranteed £40,270 with OTE up to £60,000 for top performers.

You’ll work independently across varied locations, solving roadside issues and delivering excellent customer care. Ideal candidates hold NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, a full UK driving licence (6 points max), and adaptability to shift patterns, including evenings, weekends and Bank

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications with experience
• Full category B driving licence with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology and tools
• Flexibility to work shift patterns including evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Responsibilities

• Starting and finishing on your driveway paid from the moment you get in your van to the moment you get home
• Working independently across varied locations and conditions, while remaining part of a supportive team
• Using technical knowledge and clear communication to ensure a positive customer experience
• Solving roadside problems on the spot with a calm, proactive approach

Shifts: As a patrol you will work on average 40 hour week with a variety of shift pattern options available, you have the flexibility to choose a schedule that best suits your personal and professional needs. The number of rest days you enjoy each year, as well as the length of your shifts will vary based on the shift pattern you select.

What will I be doing?

What do I need?

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
• It’s essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology we’ll provide the tools, you bring the curiosity.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays because breakdowns don’t stick to a schedule.
