Qualifications

  • A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
  • A customer-focused approach.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out diagnostics, roadside repairs, and checks on various vehicles.
  • Deal with a variety of fixes, handling all kinds of problems.
  • Recover and tow customer vehicles to their home address.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation.
  • Remain up to date with the latest vehicle technology.
  • Escalate vehicles for further repair when necessary.

MB889: Roadside Mechanic

Location: Wales (Cardiff based)

Salary: £35,000 + Overtime and bonuses (£50,000 - £60,000 OTE)

Working Hours: 40 hours weekly, Monday to Saturday (various shifts covering 24 hour operation)

Overview

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic national business who are looking to recruit multiple Roadside Mechanics on a permanent basis due to growth across the country.

As a Roadside Mechanic, you'll handle diverse breakdowns and technical issues, making technical expertise essential. With a base pay of £35,000, your earning potential is unlimited, with average earnings between £50,000 and £60,000.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Carry out diagnostics, roadside repairs, and checks on various vehicles whilst providing the best customer experience possible.
  • Deal with a variety of fixes, handling all kinds of problems and meeting different people every day.
  • Recover and tow customer vehicles to their home address.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation to the required standard.
  • Remain up to date with the latest vehicle technology and changes by attending company training programmes.
  • Escalate vehicles that cannot be fixed to the internal Mobile Mechanic team for repair at the customer’s home address.
