Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is recruiting an Enforcement Support Officer for the DVSA in Dartford. The role involves stopping vehicles for roadside checks and supporting road safety and environmental standards. A 5-week rota with early, late and night shifts applies, with a corresponding shift allowance.

The successful candidate will work to maintain equipment, assist with administration, and ensure safety compliance across inspections.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills essential for frontline customer interaction.
• Confident driving ability is required for roadside checks.
• Proactive and flexible attitude to shifts (early, late, night).

Responsibilities

• Direct vehicles to stop to allow DVSA inspections.
• Ensure equipment and vehicles are ready and fit for roadside checks.
• Provide basic IT and clerical support during roadside operations.
• Maintain High-Viz vehicle readiness (oil, water, tyres).
• Assist in check-site administration and resource availability.
• Support area management with health and safety compliance.
