Job summary

North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking a Road Safety Education Technician to support the Road Safety Education team. You will plan and deliver engagement, promotional and training events across North East Lincolnshire, working with engineers and road safety professionals.

Some days are desk-based, others involve engaging with the public nationwide on road safety topics. We welcome candidates with a pro-active attitude, who are team players, and who can collect and record information

Qualifications

• Some experience in a technical, administrative or public facing role would be helpful.
• An interest in highways, transport, or the built environment would also be an advantage.

What will your day look like?

As a Technician in the Road Safety Education team, you’ll play an important part in keeping our highways and transport networks safe. Working with people from all ages and backgrounds you’ll help support the Road Safety team to plan and deliver engagement, promotional and training events across North East Lincolnshire.

This is a varied role where you’ll work with engineers, road safety professionals, senior technicians and other colleagues across the service. Some days may be more desk-based, working with systems and records. Other days will involve getting out across North East Lincolnshire speaking to people about road safety. Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to attend meetings or deliver attend events.
