Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking an RME Technician to maintain a wide range of equipment and workspaces while upholding Health and Safety best practices. You’ll help keep colleagues safe and prevent machine downtime while boosting equipment availability.

Based on-site at our distribution centres, you’ll perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, and contribute to continuous improvement projects across EU sites. A strong engineering background is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics.
• Engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 equivalent required.
• Proven experience as a qualified engineer in relevant work.
• Hands-on maintenance experience in mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Strong command of the local language, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform proactive and preventative maintenance on site equipment.
• Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse.
• Use current tools to maximise equipment effectiveness.
• Uphold health and safety policies and practices at all times.
• Support development and progression of on-site apprentices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects across EU sites.

Education

NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics

Engineering indentured apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 equivalent

Relevant experience as a qualified engineer

Experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance

Advanced proficiency in the local language (spoken/written)
