Job summary

Kier Group in Bristol is seeking a Design Engineer – Civils to join the River Infrastructure team. You will work within Kier Design, delivering civil infrastructure engineering services and supporting prestigious clients such as the Environment Agency and Severn Trent.

Your day-to-day includes reviewing client requirements, coordinating the design team, ensuring CDM compliance, and contributing to project financials and value engineering to strengthen Kier's competitive position.

Qualifications

• Experience in design delivery and managing uncertainty and technical risk.
• Postgraduate experience in hydraulic structures/river engineering or similar.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Review client remit requirements and ensure full understanding.
• Organise and lead day-to-day workload of engineers and technical staff in design team.
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and Kier Quality Management System.
• Contribute to financial and commercial management of projects including progress monitoring and change control.
• Deliver alternative solutions and value engineering to enhance Kier's competitive position.
