Job summary

Kier Design in Bristol is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Construction Engineering team. You'll contribute to delivery of complex civil, structural and geotechnical design services, ensuring safe, buildable solutions on site.

You will lead aspects of the design process, coordinate with clients and site teams, produce deliverables, reviews and progress reports, and help manage projects within program and budget while maintaining compliance with CDM, SHEMS and QMS requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have IEng Initial Professional Development with a recognised institution (e.g. ICE).
• Hold Level 6 or Level 7 qualifications and significant relevant experience.
• Proven experience of Temporary Works Design.

Responsibilities

• Agree client remit requirements and ensure full understanding.
• Lead development of fee proposals and organise the design team.
• Ensure design compliance with CDM, SHEMS and QMS.
• Produce design deliverables such as calculations, drawings and reports.
• Represent the project at meetings with clients and progress reviews.
• Monitor progress, budget, and programme with senior management.
• Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
