Job summary

SearchWorks Pty Ltd is seeking a Risk & Opportunity Manager to support Civil Engineering infrastructure projects and programmes, combining hands-on delivery with the opportunity to develop its risk management capability.

You’ll work closely with clients and project controls teams to improve decision-making across cost, schedule and project delivery. Hybrid working across UK offices and sites is expected with base to be confirmed.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ relevant experience within a risk management function in civil engineering/construction.
• Strong knowledge of risk management tools (ARM) and schedule risk analysis tools (Acumen Risk or Safran).
• Advanced Excel skills with ability to translate complex analysis into practical recommendations.
• Confidence facilitating risk discussions and influencing stakeholders.
• Experience within an integrated PMO would be beneficial.
• A relevant degree is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage risk and opportunity registers with clear ownership and actions.
• Deliver quantitative and qualitative risk analysis, including cost and schedule QRA.
• Build scenario models and integrate risk insights into forecasts.
• Strengthen governance, assurance and reporting across projects and programmes.
• Support and mentor risk practitioners and develop the wider team.
• Contribute to client relationships and opportunities for further work.
