A leading niche insurer in the UK is seeking a Risk Professional for a fully remote position. This opportunity allows for flexible working arrangements while engaging in critical risk management processes across the company. This is a fully remote role, allowing you to work from home every day.
Within the 2nd line of defense, you will partner with 1st line operations across Claims, Underwriting, and Distribution to support effective risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring activities.
You will oversee and challenge 1st line risk management processes, controls, and decision-making, especially concerning operational and conduct risks. You will support the enhancement and execution of the company's risk management framework, lead RCSAs, develop risk assessments, and monitor risk appetite with 1st line stakeholders.
Your responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and delivery of risk and compliance reports to senior management, Board committees, and regulatory bodies.
This role offers scope to make it your own and encourages continuous challenge to the status quo, fostering a strong risk culture across the business.
You should be an experienced Risk professional from the Financial Services sector, ideally with broad risk experience across multiple disciplines including Operational and Conduct Risk. Previous insurance experience is advantageous but not essential.
You will have experience developing risk assessments and executing RCSAs, possess an analytical mindset, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Excellent communication skills are essential.
