Role Overview: Looking for greater flexibility to work from home? Or perhaps your first Manager grade role where you can learn from a highly talented CRO? This established, niche insurer offers a fully remote role, allowing you to work from home every day.
As part of the 2nd line, you’ll partner with 1st line operations across Claims, Underwriting, and Distribution to support risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring activities.
You’ll oversee and challenge 1st line risk management processes, controls, and decision-making, focusing on operational and conduct risk. You’ll support the enhancement of the risk management framework, lead RCSAs, develop risk assessments, and conduct risk appetite monitoring with stakeholders.
Additional responsibilities include preparing and delivering risk and compliance reports to senior management, Board committees, and regulators as needed.
This role offers scope for personal initiative and encourages challenging the status quo to develop the risk culture.
Ideal candidates will be experienced Risk professionals from the Financial Services sector, with broad Risk experience across multiple disciplines including Operational and Conduct Risk. Insurance experience is advantageous but not essential.
You should have experience developing risk assessments, executing RCSAs, and possess an analytical, curious mindset with excellent communication skills.
