Role Overview

Sitting within 2nd line, you'll partner with 1st line operations across Claims, Underwriting, and Distribution to support risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring activities.

You will oversee and challenge 1st line risk management processes, controls, and decision-making, focusing on operational and conduct risks. Additionally, you'll enhance and implement the company's risk management framework, lead RCSAs, develop risk assessments, and monitor risk appetite with 1st line stakeholders.

You'll assist in preparing and delivering risk and compliance reports to senior management, Board committees, and regulatory bodies as needed.

This role offers scope for personal initiative and encourages challenging the status quo to develop the company's risk culture.

Candidate Profile

We seek an experienced Risk professional from the Financial Services sector, ideally with broad risk experience across disciplines like Operational and Conduct Risk. Previous insurance experience is advantageous but not essential.

You should have experience developing risk assessments, executing RCSAs, and possess an analytical mindset, curiosity, and eagerness to learn. Excellent communication skills are essential.
