This opportunity is with an established, niche insurer offering fully remote work, allowing you to work from home every day.

As a member of the 2nd line of defense, you’ll partner with 1st line operations across Claims, Underwriting, and Distribution to support risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring activities.

You will oversee and challenge 1st line risk management processes, controls, and decision-making, especially concerning operational and conduct risks. You’ll help enhance and execute the company’s risk management framework, lead RCSAs, develop risk assessments, and monitor risk appetite with stakeholders.

You will also assist in preparing and delivering risk and compliance reports to senior management, Board committees, and regulators as needed.

This role offers scope for personal initiative and encourages continuous challenge to improve the risk culture within the business.

Ideal candidates will be experienced Risk professionals from the Financial Services sector, with broad risk experience across multiple disciplines, including Operational and Conduct Risk. Insurance sector experience is advantageous but not essential.

Applicants should have experience developing risk assessments, executing RCSAs, and possess an analytical mindset, curiosity, and eagerness to learn. Excellent communication skills are essential.
