Job summary

QED Legal LLP in Manchester is seeking an experienced Risk Lawyer to join its growing Risk & Compliance team, advising on regulatory and contractual risk within a busy law firm environment.

The role covers client engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines, panel appointments and commercial contracts, with involvement in partnership governance and retirements.

I’m currently working with a leading national law firm with a fast-growing Risk & Compliance team, looking to hire an experienced Risk Lawyer into a new position within their established legal risk function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with experience advising on regulatory and contractual risk matters within a law firm environment, who is looking to join a highly respected and collaborative team.

The Role?

• Advising on client engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines, panel appointments and commercial contracts
• Supporting partnership governance matters including lateral hires and retirements
• Advising on SRA Standards & Regulations and wider legal regulatory obligations

About you?

• Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE
• Previous experience within a law firm Risk & Compliance function
• Strong understanding of SRA regulations and legal risk management
• Commercially minded with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
