Job summary

QED Legal is seeking a Risk Lawyer to join its national law firm client’s growing Risk & Compliance function. The role is hybrid with offices in Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham or Scotland.

You will advise on engagement terms, guidelines, panel appointments and commercial contracts, while supporting governance matters and regulatory obligations. The ideal candidate is a Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE, equipped to manage regulatory risk, stakeholder expectations and tight deadlines within

I’m currently working with a leading national law firm with a fast-growing Risk & Compliance team, looking to hire an experienced Risk Lawyer into a new position within their established legal risk function.

The Role?

• Advising on client engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines, panel appointments and commercial contracts
• Supporting partnership governance matters including lateral hires and retirements
• Advising on SRA Standards & Regulations and wider legal regulatory obligations
• Assisting with supplier agreements, policy reviews and wider strategic risk projects
• Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business on operational and regulatory matters

About you?

• Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE
• Previous experience within a law firm Risk & Compliance function
• Strong understanding of SRA regulations and legal risk management
• Commercially minded with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
