Job summary

AJ FOX COMPLIANCE in London is seeking a Professional Indemnity & Risk Lawyer to join as a full-time appointment. You will manage PI claims, client complaints and related litigation, while supporting risk and compliance work.

You will bring at least five years post-qualification experience and strong SRA knowledge, with excellent drafting and analytical skills to provide practical advice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' PQE in PI, claims, regulation or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of SRA requirements.
• Excellent drafting and analytical skills with practical advisory ability.

Responsibilities

• Support Risk & Compliance to meet legal, regulatory and professional obligations.
• Assist with professional indemnity claims and notifications, insurer relationships and client complaints.
• Liaise with insurers, brokers, panel solicitors and the Legal Ombudsman.
• Assess potential exposure and advise on risk mitigation.
• Manage notifications under the firm’s professional indemnity insurance arrangements.
• Monitor claims trends and prepare management information.
• Maintain and monitor claims, complaints and risk registers.
• Advise on conflicts, confidentiality, undertakings and professional conduct matters.
• Support the COLP and wider Risk & Compliance functions.
• Assist with data protection and confidentiality matters as required.
• Deliver and support risk and compliance training across the firm.
• Keep up to date with developments in professional regulation, risk management and legal practice.

Job description

We are working with a highly regarded London law firm to appoint a Professional Indemnity & Risk Lawyer. In this full-time role, you’ll help manage professional indemnity claims, client complaints and related litigation, while supporting the firm’s risk and compliance work and advising on regulatory and professional conduct matters.

The firm is seeking a qualified solicitor or lawyer with at least five years’ post-qualification experience and a background in professional indemnity, claims, complaints, regulation or risk management, ideally within a law firm. You’ll bring strong knowledge of SRA requirements, excellent drafting and analytical skills, sound judgement and the ability to provide practical advice.
