Job summary

OpenAI seeks a Technical Operations Analyst in London, blending data analysis, tooling, and operational risk work. You will build dashboards, validate data pipelines, and apply AI tools to scale safety and risk decisions.

The role requires handling sensitive content with discretion, partnering across USRO and product teams, and advancing monitoring, escalation, and quality controls in a hybrid London office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical operations, data analytics, trust and safety, risk operations or related field.
• Strong SQL skills and comfort with unfamiliar datasets and data-quality issues.
• Built dashboards, tools, automations, or operating systems end-to-end.
• Able to leverage AI/LLM tools while validating outputs and managing failure modes.
• Experience measuring technical systems with QA, human review and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Independently scope ambiguous problems and convert into analyses, workflows, or decision systems.
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, data-quality gaps, and truth sources.
• Build and maintain dashboards, monitoring, alerts, and recurring reporting.
• Develop systems for detecting emerging risks, including labeling and human-review loops.
• Support cloud deployments by validating pipelines, safety signals, and escalation reporting.
• Design quality controls such as sampling plans and golden datasets.
• Use AI/LLM tools to improve speed while ensuring testing and oversight.
• Translate findings into recommendations and next steps for partner teams.
• Collaborate across Operations, Product, Engineering, Data Science, Safety, Legal, Support.
