Energy Trading Risk & Compliance Manager – UK Remote

Location: Remote (with occasional office visits)

The Role

We are seeking a commercially savvy and process-driven Energy Trading Risk & Compliance Manager to support an in-house energy trading function managing a large and growing portfolio of energy assets. You’ll ensure trading operations are efficient, compliant, and positioned to maximise revenue — with the chance to influence how things evolve as the portfolio scales.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee risk controls and operational processes for day-ahead and real-time trading activities
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations (REMIT, Elexon, EMR, Capacity Market, etc.)
• Build and improve trading policies, governance frameworks, and MI reporting
• Support new project setups, regulatory reporting, and industry interactions
• Collaborate closely with Trading, Legal, Commercial, and Tech teams
• Help develop and implement systems for credit, settlement, and performance monitoring

What We’re Looking For

• Solid experience in UK energy trading, supply, or operations
• Hands-on knowledge of Elexon, N2EX/EPEX, OTC agreements, or Capacity Market processes
• Exposure to regulatory frameworks like REMIT, EMR, or EFET
• Strong risk management mindset with a commercial eye
• Good with data/reporting tools and comfortable working across teams
• Experience working in or alongside shift-based trading ops is a plus
