Job summary

Timeline is a fintech company focused on risk management to support growth and resilience. We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join our Risk and Compliance team on a permanent basis, owning the risk framework and strengthening KRI coverage.

You will operate in the second line of defence reporting to the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, building enduring capabilities while maintaining pace in a dynamic fintech environment; hybrid work option available.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience in a risk management role within an FCA-regulated investment firm.
• Experience designing and embedding enterprise risk management frameworks, including risk registers and KRIs.
• Strong working knowledge of FCA rules including SYSC, PRIN, and prudential requirements.
• Hands-on experience of operational resilience frameworks, BCP and DR mapping and testing.
• Familiarity with Consumer Duty, SM&CR, and third-party risk management.
• Experience working across second-line functions with first-line business owners.
• Excellent written communication skills for board-level documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain top-down and bottom-up risk assessments and registers with stakeholders.
• Support Board approval of risk appetite statements and KRIs.
• Coordinate 3rd party risk frameworks and quarterly risk assessments.
• Maintain incident investigation processes with root-cause analysis and remediation tracking.
• Review and update Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery arrangements.
• Support annual resilience self-assessment, mapping important services and impact tolerances.
• Coordinate scenario testing of BCP/DR and report outcomes to governance.
• Assess resilience implications of new initiatives and platform migrations for governance.
