Arch Insurance International in the London Market offers a Level 3 Financial Services Administrator apprenticeship within underwriting operations. You will support data quality checks, assist with reporting and build practical skills in risk and underwriting processes.
The programme leads to a CII qualification, with mentorship from senior underwriters and exposure to broker relationships, data management, and compliance across the Lloyd’s market environment.
Join the Risk Management team of a leading Lloyd’s specialty insurer and gain hands‑on experience across all aspects of risk management, working directly with the Risk Manager, Head of Risk Management and Chief Risk Officer.
You’ll support key risk activities including risk reporting, risk assessments, risk appetite monitoring, incident management, ORSA and stress testing, while building a broad understanding of how a Lloyd’s insurer operates.
This role is specifically aimed at graduates with an Insurance & Risk Management degree who want to build a long‑term career in insurance risk management.

To assist with administrative tasks of both an underwriting and operational nature. To provide underwriting support and assistance to the underwriters and to create and maintain syndicate records.
No authority to accept risks or settle claims on behalf of the syndicate.
Able to input data and maintain records with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Needs to be familiar and competent with various software and I.T. packages including Microsoft Office
Strong organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines. Able to always operate to the standards and rules of the regulatory bodies and those set out in the firm’s standards documents.
Able to develop and maintain ongoing relationships with underwriters and other staff.
Able to analyse and interpret financial information and manipulate data.
Able to ensure competence is attained and maintained. Shows initiative and has an inquisitive nature. Keen to increase skills and responsibility through training.
Ability to communicate directly and through correspondence, in a manner appropriate to the audience.

This successful candidate will complete the Level 3 Financial Services Administrator apprenticeship, gaining their Certificate Level CII qualification as part of this role.
