The Role

We are seeking an Underwriting Administrator to join our Casualty Treaty team, providing high‑quality administrative and operational support to underwriters. This role is a vital part of ensuring the underwriting function runs smoothly, accurately, and in line with internal processes and regulatory requirements.

This is a dedicated administration role, well suited to someone who enjoys structured, process‑driven work, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to build a strong and stable career in insurance operations and underwriting support, rather than moving into an underwriting role itself.

Key Responsibilities
  • Entering and maintaining risk and policy data accurately across underwriting systems
  • Producing, maintaining, and updating underwriting files in line with guidelines and workflows
  • Supporting underwriting teams by ensuring documentation and records are complete and up to date
  • Monitoring and maintaining operational, compliance, and financial controls (e.g. SOX, Aged Debt reports)
  • Assisting with income monitoring, contract signings, and chasing late payments where required
  • Ensuring underwriting systems and established processes are consistently followed

Mosaic Transactional Liability team in London is looking for an analyst to join the team to work on all M&A insurance placements. This role provides an exciting opportunity to learn about transactional liability insurance in the fast‑paced M&A environment, develop analytical and commercial skills, gain a deep understanding of corporate transactions, and work alongside experienced underwriters on market‑leading deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing workflow on deal opportunities that contemplate use of Warranty and Indemnity Insurance, Tax Insurance and Contingent Insurance, including review of NDAs, management of core inbox for submissions and working with internal teams and 3 rd parties to ensure data collection.
  • Analysing mergers and acquisition-related documents, including reviewing financial statements, business background information and purchase agreements, and researching issues related to M&A transactions
  • Assisting in managing the underwriting diligence process.
  • Coordinating and communicating with insurance brokers, lawyers and clients.
  • Assisting the senior leadership team in TL with data related queries.
  • Collaboration with marketing team to develop materials and presentations.

Skills, Experience and Education

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience working within the corporate world
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment

Role Summary and Purpose

Support the London Market Underwriting Operations team in driving efficiencies and best practices throughout the Underwriting process, challenge how the business operates today and assist in developing systems, processes, and procedures to support the growth of Arch across all platforms.

This successful candidate will complete the Level 3 Financial Services Administrator apprenticeship, gaining their Certificate Level CII qualification as part of this role.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Conducting regular data quality checks and basic audits of underwriting data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Logging queries received from both internal and external customers, investigating data discrepancies and supporting timely resolution.
  • Maintaining and updating operational procedure documents.
  • Assisting with reporting activities, such as analysing weekly or monthly processing statistics.
  • Collaborating with onshore, offshore and cross functional teams on various tasks and projects.
  • Other ad hoc admin tasks from time to time.
