Job summary

Salvation Army Homes in England seeks a Junior Building Compliance Manager on a 6-month fixed term to oversee a team of Compliance Officers and drive statutory compliance across the UK housing portfolio. The role reports to the Compliance M&E Manager within the Asset Team and focuses on gas, electrical, fire, water hygiene, asbestos, lifting equipment, and wider building safety.

Qualifications

• Must have experience supervising teams delivering statutory compliance in residential properties.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills across dispersed teams.
• Experience in gas, electrical, fire, water hygiene, asbestos, lifting equipment, and building safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Compliance Officers with supervision, coaching, and performance management.
• Deliver statutory compliance programmes across the housing portfolio.
• Drive continuous improvement in compliance performance, reporting, and services.
• Coordinate inspections, works, and initiatives with internal teams, contractors, and regulators.
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws, standards, policies, and procedures; monitor risks.
