Job summary

Crawley Borough Council is seeking a Compliance Manager to lead a small team responsible for gas, electrics, water, fire, lifts and asbestos compliance across council homes and assets.

You will ensure robust compliance assurances, prepare policies, report to governance and the Regulator of Social Housing, and drive improvements while working with partners and tenants. You will also be expected to meet training requirements and maintain high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing compliance functions within housing or local government.
• Ability to lead staff and drive customer service standards.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards including Regulator of Social Housing.
• Willingness to complete required training within probation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team responsible for gas, electrics, water, fire, lifts and asbestos compliance.
• Maintain compliance policies and provide assurance to tenants and the organisation.
• Prepare reports through governance channels and to the Regulator of Social Housing.
• Engage with partners, contractors and fieldwork for internal audits.
• Ensure KPI data accuracy and timely compliance certification.
