Job summary

The BBC Group and Public Services is seeking a Rigger Supervisor within BBC Media Operations in Manchester. You will help transport and rig outside broadcast equipment, support technical operations and work on high-profile events across the UK and beyond.

You will join an expert, supportive team, with hands-on responsibilities, training opportunities and a dynamic schedule tied to live production demands.

Qualifications

• Valid Cat C+E driving licence, Driver CPC and Driver Qualification Card; training to achieve these within six months.
• Strong understanding of transport legislation, vehicle compliance and safe working practices.
• Flexible, with shift work including evenings, weekends and overnight stays.
• Able to work in a fast-paced operational environment and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive and position OB vehicles safely in line with plans and transport rules.
• Load, transport and secure equipment with proper checks before travel.
• Rig and operate technical equipment, install and maintain cabling and broadcast gear on site.
• Lead site set-up activities and supervise rigging operations while upholding equipment standards.
• Support communications and power systems and assist with audio setup.
• Assist stores operations with loading, transportation and warehouse duties.
