Job summary

BCUHB is seeking a Rheumatology and MSK Clinical Specialist in the East area (Wrexham/Flintshire). The role supports rheumatology clinics and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, with teaching and supervision duties.

We welcome applicants including those starting at Band 6 in a development post, with potential progression to Band 7 on competency achievement. Welsh/English speakers welcome. The post offers autonomous extended scope practice and leadership within the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience as physiotherapist handling complex caseloads.
• Ability to lead clinical service and mentor staff.
• Willingness to undertake further Masters-level training and travel across sites.
• Welsh language ability is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take clinical lead in assessment and treatment of complex patients.
• Attend weekly Rheumatology MDT meetings and provide physiotherapy input.
• Work as autonomous clinical specialist physiotherapist within the team.
• Develop frontline staff competencies and training packages.
• Deliver a high-quality clinical service across rheumatology and MSK sites.
