Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales is recruiting a Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal (MSK) Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist. The role supports clinics across Wrexham/Flintshire, providing clinical leadership with an extended scope of practice.

Starting at Band 6 in a development post with progression to Band 7 once competencies are met; includes teaching, supervision and involvement in clinical networks and pathways.

Qualifications

• Experience leading rheumatology/MSK physiotherapy services.
• Ability to teach, supervise and provide training across rotates and staff groups.
• Demonstrated capability to manage complex patient presentations.

Responsibilities

• Take a clinical lead in assessment and treatment of complex rheumatology/MSK cases.
• Attend weekly Rheumatology MDT meetings and contribute clinical input.
• Work as autonomous clinical specialist physiotherapist; develop and deliver high-quality service.
• Develop frontline competencies and provide ongoing training to staff.
