Electus Recruitment Solutions is offering an exciting opportunity to shape test capability for complex defence engineering projects in Bolton. You will design test equipment, support manufacturing, and guide products through the full lifecycle, working across multidisciplinary teams.

This permanent role emphasizes hands-on engineering with clear root-cause investigation, robust problem solving, and mentoring of engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience designing test equipment, products or engineering systems, or supporting designs through manufacturing.
• Understanding of the full product lifecycle and the ability to investigate design issues and establish root causes.
• Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing technical work packages.

Responsibilities

• Provide test equipment design support to manufacturing engineering activities.
• Act as an interface between design and manufacturing teams, helping resolve technical challenges.
• Investigate design-related issues, identify root causes and develop robust corrective solutions.
• Support the development and refinement of products and test equipment through the manufacturing lifecycle.
• Manage engineering work packages, coordinate stakeholders and support successful delivery.
• Share technical knowledge and mentor engineers and engineering technicians.
