Infleqtion in the United Kingdom is expanding its Engineering Team and is hiring an Embedded Systems Engineer to support QRF and sensing projects at our Kidlington/Oxford office. The role offers flexible working with up to two days from home per week, subject to work requirements.

Qualifications

• Develop embedded Linux software and firmware for FPGA-based systems (Xilinx SoC).
• Configure and deploy Yocto/Buildroot distributions with BSPs for FPGA platforms.
• Create device-tree configurations, drivers, and interfaces (Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART).
• Collaborate across hardware, software, and physics teams from requirements to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded Linux software, firmware, and BSPs for FPGA SoC platforms.
• Deploy Linux distributions using Yocto/Buildroot and integrate BSPs.
• Implement board bring-up, drivers, and hardware interfaces.
• Integrate FPGA, microcontrollers, and software into control and data acquisition systems.
• Document designs and perform tests for prototype through deployment.
