Job summary

Teledyne Microwave UK is seeking a Production Engineer to support the manufacture of advanced RF and microwave products used in demanding defence and communications applications. The role spans production support, process improvement and new product introduction within a growing engineering business.

You will work across Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing to improve yield, reliability and efficiency in a regulated environment, ensuring processes, tooling and documentation meet AS9100 /

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication across functions.
• Practical understanding of manufacturing/test processes and controlled documentation.
• Structured problem solving and corrective action implementation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, test requirements, and production data.
• Experience in a regulated aerospace/defence environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to manufacturing and test operations, driving quality and efficiency improvements.
• Investigate failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and improve manufacturing, assembly, inspection and test processes for RF/electronic products.
• Create and maintain production documentation including work instructions and test procedures.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity.
• Support introduction of new products into manufacture ensuring processes and training are in place.
