Job summary

Mount Charles Group is recruiting a Cleaning Operative to join our team at the Londonderry/Derry site. The role focuses on delivering high-standard cleaning services in offices, meeting rooms, toilets and shared areas according to client specifications.

We value customer service, reliability and attention to detail. The role operates during night or early morning shifts, with three hours weekly and one hour cleaning sessions three times a week, offering a pro-rata annual leave and supportive

• Previous work experience in customer service employment.
• Basic statutory training for the role and safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of cleaning service within your area of responsibility.
• Provide a range of general cleaning services to include offices, meeting rooms, toilets/showers and areas site wide.
• Ensure stocks are replenished.
• Carry out regular checks on equipment/machines.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and report defects to Line Manager.

The Role:

• Providing the highest level of Cleaning service within your area of responsibility in line with the clients’ specifications
• Providing a range of general cleaning services to include offices/meeting rooms, toilets/showersand areas site wide
• Ensuring all stocks are replenished
• Ensuring regular checks are carried out to the equipment/machines
• During hours of work and all the equipment is left clean and in good working order at the end of your shift, reporting any defects to your Line Manager
• Making yourself familiar with and follow all company procedures and regulations
• Participating in the Health and Safety Policy of the company and report any dangers to your Line Manager
• All offices, toilets, and amenity areas to be presented clean and tidy
• Comply with all Health, Safety & Hygiene standards
• Comply with all HACCP regulations as necessary

The Person:

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• NVQ/SVQ Level One in Cleaning Building Interiors would be an advantage but not essential
• Previous work experience in customer service employment
• Current BICS Qualifications.
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
