Job summary

Mount Charles Group is recruiting a Cleaning Operative for our team based at Woven Eden Square in Derry/Londonderry. This part-time role offers flexible hours across mornings and early evenings within a world‑leading facilities management company.

You will perform general cleaning duties, maintain hygiene standards and assist customers with a friendly, professional service. The role emphasizes safety, stock replenishment and orderly, clean offices and amenities.

Qualifications

• NVQ/SVQ Level One in Cleaning Building Interiors would be an advantage but not essential.
• Previous work experience in customer service employment.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic statutory training and BICS qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of Cleaning service within your area of responsibility.
• Respond to customer requirements promptly and carry out duties professionally.
• Provide general cleaning across offices, meeting rooms, toilets and site wide areas.
• Replenish stocks in your area of responsibility and ensure equipment is kept clean.

The Role:

• Providing the highest level of Cleaning service within your area of responsibility
• Responding positively, politely and promptly to all customer requirements and carry out your duties in a professional manner
• Providing a range of general cleaning services to include offices/meeting rooms, toilets, site wide
• Ensuring all stocks are replenished in your area of responsibility
• Ensuring regular checks are carried out to the equipment/machines used during hours of work and all the equipment is left clean and in good working order
• Making yourself familiar with and follow all company procedures and regulations
• Participating in the Health and Safety Policy of the company and report any dangers, or hazards you encounter to your Line Manager
• All offices, toilets, and amenity areas to be presented clean and tidy
• Comply with all Health, Safety & Hygiene standards
• Comply with all regulations as necessary
• Report defective equipment/ utensils/ work and floor surfaces or any other Health and Safety issues to your Line Manager

The Person:

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• NVQ/SVQ Level One in Cleaning Building Interiors would be an advantage but not essential
• Previous work experience in customer service employment
• Current BICS Qualifications.
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
