Mount Charles in Armagh is seeking a Catering Assistant to join their team at South Regional College. You will assist in the preparation and service of food and beverages while providing excellent customer service. The role includes flexible working hours with just 4 hours per week.

Working Pattern

• 4 hours per week
• 4pm – 8:30pm
• One day per week – Monday

The Role

• Assist in the preparation, service and sales of all food and beverages for the unit
• Provide the highest level of customer service in a consistent approach to anyone who uses the facility
• Work as part of the team to ensure service is delivered on time and at a consistently high standard
• Carry out all cleaning duties as per instruction from line manager or per unit cleaning rotaEnsure kitchen and service areas are always clean and tidy
• Clear rooms of any trays, flasks.
• Be responsible for cash handling duties under your control
• Keep up to date with current promotions and new products
• Comply with all Health, Safety & Hygiene standards
• Comply with all HACCP regulations as necessary
• Follow procedures as directed on the correct handling and use of all cleaning materials.
• Complete any administration as requested which may include recording of food temperatures, updating cleaning schedule

• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day‑to‑day basis.
