Job summary

Mount Charles Group is recruiting for a Cleaning Operative at Translink, Belfast. The role covers cleaning of offices, kitchens, and rest areas during a 37.5-hour week with 9pm to 5am shifts, five nights out of seven. Full medical and drugs/alcohol testing are required. Rewards include 28 days’ holidays, pension, training and development, and uniform provision.

Qualifications

• Basic statutory training may be required to assist in safety instructions and communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all areas (offices, kitchen and rest areas) are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by COSHH guidelines.
• Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager after training.
• Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use.
• Knowledge of scrubber dryer operation would be an advantage.
• Carry out any other cleaning duties as required.

The Role:

• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines (COSHH)
• Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
• Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
• Knowledge of scrubber dryer operation would be an advantage
• Any and all other cleaning duties
