Job summary

Mount Charles Group in Derry/Londonderry is seeking a Cleaning Operative on a part-time basis. The role covers cleaning offices, kitchens and rest areas to required standards, with shifts between 8am and 6pm, four hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
• Ability to follow safety instructions and COSHH guidelines.
• Attention to detail and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all office areas, kitchen and rest areas are cleaned efficiently.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely in line with COSHH guidelines.
• Be familiar with cleaning equipment and report faults immediately.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as required.

The Role:

• Ensure all areas (offices, kitchen and rest areas) are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards - this to include weekly and periodic tasks.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines (COSHH)
• Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
• Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
• Knowledge of scrubber dryer operation would be an advantage
• Any and all other cleaning duties
