Job summary

Mount Charles is seeking a Mobile Cleaning Operative to join our team serving the Greater Belfast Area. This mobile role requires a full clean driving licence. Working pattern is 40 hours per week, five days in seven, 8am–4pm, with every other weekend off.

You will clean to high standards, follow COSHH safety rules, report faults promptly, and keep stores tidy. Benefits include 28 days’ holiday pro-rated, pension, EAP, and opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a mobile role with a full clean driving licence.
• Must have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist with safety and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and to required standards, including weekly and periodic tasks.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as per COSHH guidelines.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cleaning equipment and use only after training.
• Report any faulty equipment, mark as faulty and do not use.
• Ensure safety signage is used at all times and warn customers where possible.
• Keep cleaning stores clean and equipment stored safely.

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Cleaning Operative to join our team based at in the Greater Belfast Area. This role is mobile so a full clean driving licence is a must have! This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.

The Role:

• Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards - this to include weekly and periodic tasks
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines (COSHH)
• Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
• Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
• Ensure that the safety signage is used appropriate at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and ‘warn’ customers where possible
• Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment is stored correctly and safely at all times

Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis .
