Mount Charles is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative for the Translink Depot in Coleraine. This part-time night role runs Friday to Sunday, 8pm–3am, with COSHH-safe cleaning and strict safety procedures.

The job requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently within a family-oriented team. Benefits include 28 days’ holidays (pro rata), Employee Assistance Program, pension, training and uniform provided.

Responsabilités

• Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and to required standards, including weekly/periodic tasks.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely per COSHH guidelines.
• Familiar with cleaning equipment and operate under supervisor training.
• Report faulty equipment and follow safety signage.
• Keep cleaning stores clean and equipment stored safely.
• Safely dispose of sharps when required.
• Comply with client and Mount Charles security rules.

Working Pattern:

• 21 hours per week
• Friday, Saturday and Sunday
• 8pm to 3.00am
• Requires a full medical and personal track safety course

• Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards - this to include weekly and periodic tasks
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines (COSHH)
• Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
• Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
• Ensure that the safety signage is used appropriate at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and ‘warn’ customers where possible
• Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment is stored correctly and safely at all times
• Safedisposal of sharpssuch as needles and blades may be necessary
• Comply with all security regulations for cleaning materials, equipment and buildings as laid down by client and Mount Charles

• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.

The successful candidate's job offer will be subject to passing a Personal Track Safety Medical Assessment.This will include a full and thorough medical, (including a drug and alcohol test) for the purpose of Public Train Safety prior to appointment.
