Mount Charles Group is recruiting a part-time Cleaning Operative based at Radius Housing, Divis – Belfast. The role suits a customer-focused candidate eager to join a friendly, family-orientated business that values its people.

Working pattern is 4 hours per week, flexible across two days from Monday to Friday 8:30am–5:00pm. responsibilities include cleaning to required standards, COSHH safe use of products, reporting faults, and maintaining safety signage.

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience or willingness to be trained.
• Basic reading/writing/speaking/listening for safety instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas efficiently to required standards.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely per COSHH guidelines.
• Operate and care for cleaning equipment after proper training.
• Report faulty equipment and keep stores tidy.
• Maintain clear safety signage and warn customers when needed.
• Store equipment safely.

We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative to join our team based at Radius Housing, Divis – Belfast. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.

Working Pattern:

• 4 hours per week
• Flexible - 2 days per week, between Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm

The Role:

• Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards - this to include weekly and periodic tasks
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines (COSHH)
• Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
• Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
• Ensure that the safety signage is used appropriate at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and 'warn' customers where possible
• Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment is stored correctly and safely at all times

• Attention to detail in all aspects of the work.

• It is desirable that candidates have some familiarity with cleaning products and previous experience in a cleaning or similar environment. Training will be provided.
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
