Job summary

Waterman Group is seeking a Revit Technician to join the Building Services (MEP) team in Nottingham. You will produce Revit models and drawings for mechanical, electrical and public health systems, coordinating with engineers across projects.

You will develop BIM skills, ensure accuracy and quality, and work within a collaborative team to meet deadlines. Nottingham office offers opportunities to grow within a multi-disciplinary consultancy.

Responsibilities

Waterman Group is a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering engineering, environmental and planning services across the UK. Our Building Services team works on a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors including commercial, retail, industrial, residential, education, healthcare and mixed-use developments.

We are looking for a Revit Technician to join our Building Services (MEP) team in Nottingham. The role will support the production and coordination of Revit models and technical drawings for mechanical, electrical and public health systems, working closely with engineers and project teams across a range of building services projects.

You will help ensure designs are accurately modelled, coordinated and delivered to a high standard, while developing your technical and BIM skills within an experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce Revit MEP models and technical drawings for building services systems
• Model mechanical, electrical and public health services, including HVAC, pipework, containment and plant layouts
• Work with engineers to translate design information into accurate and coordinated models
• Support the coordination of models with other disciplines and assist with identifying and resolving clashes
• Follow BIM standards, templates and agreed project workflows
• Carry out basic checks of drawings and models to ensure accuracy and quality
• Assist with project coordination meetings and model reviews where required
• Work as part of the wider project team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work
• Develop knowledge of building services design, BIM processes and industry standards

About You

• Some experience working as a Revit Technician within a Building Services / MEP environment
• Good working knowledge of Revit MEP and AutoCAD
• An interest in developing your understanding of mechanical, electrical and public health building services
• Ideally, some experience working on projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, education, healthcare or defence
• Good understanding of construction and how building services are coordinated within a project
• Familiarity with BIM and collaborative working practices
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Able to manage your workload and work to project deadlines
• Experience using Navisworks or other BIM coordination tools
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards
• Experience working on defence or secure projects, or eligibility for security clearance
• Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in construction, engineering, BIM or a related discipline
