Job summary

Waterman Group’s Building Services team in Nottingham is seeking a Senior Revit Technician to lead production and coordination of Revit models for MEP systems across varied projects. You will mentor junior technicians and support BIM standards while collaborating with engineers to deliver accurate, buildable designs.

Qualifications

• Proven Revit Technician experience in Building Services/MEP environments.
• Strong Revit MEP and AutoCAD knowledge.
• Experience delivering projects across commercial, residential, education, healthcare or defence sectors.
• Solid understanding of building services systems and construction methods.
• BIM Level 2 standards and collaborative working practices.
• Attention to detail with ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Effective communicator with a collaborative approach.
• Experience using Navisworks or similar coordination tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards.
• Experience on defence or secure projects or eligibility for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Model mechanical, electrical and public health services including HVAC, pipework, containment and plant layouts
• Collaborate with engineers to translate design intent into accurate, buildable models
• Coordinate models with other disciplines and resolve clashes using BIM tools
• Maintain and apply BIM standards, templates, and workflows
• Review and check drawings and models to ensure accuracy and quality
• Support and mentor junior technicians within the team
• Assist with project coordination meetings and model reviews

Job description

Waterman Group is a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering engineering, environmental and planning services across the UK. Our Building Services team works on a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors including commercial, retail, industrial, residential, education, healthcare and mixed-use developments.

We are looking for a Senior Revit Technician to join our Building Services (MEP) team in Nottingham. The role will play a key part in the production and coordination of high-quality Revit models and technical drawings for mechanical, electrical and public health systems, supporting projects from concept through to delivery.

You will work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure designs are accurately modelled, coordinated, and compliant with relevant standards, while also supporting BIM best practice and mentoring junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and coordinate detailed Revit MEP models and drawings for building services systems

About You

• Proven experience as a Revit Technician within a Building Services / MEP environment
• Strong working knowledge of Revit MEP and AutoCAD
• Experience delivering projects across multiple sectors such as commercial, residential, education, healthcare or defence
• Good understanding of building services systems and construction methodologies
• Familiar with BIM Level 2 standards and collaborative working practices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project deadlines
