Job summary

Telford & Wrekin Council is seeking a Review, Development and Training Officer to lead safeguarding review, audit and learning activity across the partnership. You will work with senior leaders and partners to drive improvements in policy and practice through reviews, audits, training and development.

You will develop learning programmes, coordinate multi-agency activity and support inspections, with a focus on continuous improvement and responsive safeguarding for children and adults at risk.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding review processes.
• Strong partnership working and collaboration.
• Good analytical and organisational skills.
• Experience in project management within safeguarding context.

Are you passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable children and adults through learning, review and continuous improvement?

We are seeking a Review, Development and Training Officer to lead and coordinate safeguarding review, audit and learning activity across the Telford & Wrekin Safeguarding Partnership. This influential role will help drive improvements in policy and practice through statutory and non-statutory reviews, audits, training and partnership development.

Working with senior leaders and partners across the council, police, health and wider safeguarding system, you will:

• Lead Rapid Reviews and Local Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews.
• Support Adult Safeguarding Reviews and Domestic Homicide Reviews.
• Develop and deliver multi-agency learning and training programmes.
• Drive implementation of recommendations from reviews and audits.
• Support partnership readiness for inspections and continuous improvement activity

We are looking for someone with experience of working in a partnership environment, strong analytical and organisational skills, and a track record of delivering improvement through effective project management and collaboration.

Knowledge of safeguarding review processes and social care practice is desirable.
