Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in warehouse or logistics operations, with management experience.
• Experience in reverse logistics, returns, refurbishment, e-commerce or after-sales operations.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, labour planning and KPIs.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Good data analysis skills using WMS and Excel.
• Knowledge of UK Health & Safety requirements.
• Ability to perform under peak periods in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily reverse logistics operations, including receiving, inspection, grading, sorting, put-away, refurbishment, return-to-vendor and disposal processes.
• Monitor operational KPIs including productivity, processing lead time, backlog, inventory accuracy, quality and labour utilisation.
• Ensure accurate inventory management and investigate stock discrepancies, damages and operational exceptions.
• Lead and develop warehouse supervisors, team leaders and operatives, including shift planning, attendance, performance management and training.
• Plan workforce requirements based on operational volume and forecasts, controlling overtime and agency labour costs.
• Identify operational bottlenecks, conduct root-cause analysis and implement process and SOP improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements, risk assessments, safe working procedures and company policies.
• Manage peak-volume operations and ensure sufficient labour and operational capacity to meet business requirements.
• Work closely with Transportation, Customer Service, Quality, Finance, HR, IT and other operational teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare and review operational reports, providing management with clear updates on performance, risks and improvement actions.
