Civica is seeking a Revenues, Housing Benefits, Assessment & OnDemand Officer to support Local Authorities in delivering accurate, compliant benefits services. You’ll assess claims, resolve queries, and ensure payments align with legislation and best practice.

You will work across Revenues, Benefits, and OnDemand contracts, using CIS and other systems to process claims efficiently, while providing clear communication to customers and stakeholders. A minimum of 3 years’ experience is required.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Revenues and/or Benefits.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation.
• Confident decision-maker (liability, recovery, overpayments, arrangements).
• Excellent communication skills — written & verbal.
• Highly organised, accurate, and deadline-focused.
• Strong IT skills and experience using online processing systems.

Aufgaben

• Process Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims.
• Manage Council Tax & Non-Domestic Rates billing, recovery & enforcement.
• Handle overpayments, refunds & payment arrangements.
• Prepare cases for court or tribunal.
• Respond to customer and stakeholder queries with clarity & confidence.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, policy & DWP guidance.
• Identify irregularities and escalate appropriately.
• Operate within defined client contract parameters and use CIS where appropriate to deliver services accurately.
