Could you be our new Revenue Manager ? Are you?

The Revenue Manager is instrumental in safeguarding and improving the multi-million dollar revenue stream from global journal subscriptions for Sage. You will be central to ensuring the continuity and growth of this critical revenue line through strategic management and operational excellence. The primary purpose of the role is to lead all aspects of the entire renewal process, ensuring it operates smoothly and efficiently, thereby securing the Sage’s financial health and sustainability.

Your new role:

  • Strategically Drive Revenue Growth: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies that boost subscription renewal rates, optimize pricing models, and expand market reach.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Cultivate collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Finance departments to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Innovate Customer Retention: Craft innovative retention strategies, analyze subscription churn, and improve customer engagement to minimize losses.
  • Improve Customer Experience: Refine the subscription renewal processes and customer service operations to boost loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Boost Operational Efficiency: Identify and rectify process inefficiencies, implement improvements, and streamline both the renewal and cash collection processes.
  • Analyse and Report: Monitor key results on subscription renewals, provide actionable insights, and make recommendations to propel strategic decisions.
  • Target Marketing Efforts: Segment customer bases, map their journeys, and develop targeted renewal strategies through tailored marketing initiatives.
  • Increase Upsell Opportunities: Collaborate with Sales to pinpoint and capitalize on upselling opportunities using evidence-based strategies.
  • Conduct Market Research: Perform competitor analyses and market research, present findings to senior partners to guide informed decision-making.

  • Strategic Innovator: Proven track record to develop and communicate effective strategies and roadmaps.
  • Experienced Revenue Manager: Proven record in revenue management or subscription services, with a history of surpassing revenue targets.
  • Customer Insight Authority: Deep understanding of customer segmentation, journey mapping, and personalized marketing strategies.
  • Data-Driven Decision Maker: Proficiency in using analytics and customer service metrics for informed decision making.
  • Communicative Leader: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with collaborators at all levels.
  • Inspirational Team Leader: Proven ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Problem Solver: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of leading multiple initiatives simultaneously.
