Job summary

ALTOR in the United Kingdom is seeking a Deductions Analyst to drive accuracy in revenue recognition and minimize financial exposure from retail customer deductions. You will analyze supporting documents, collaborate across Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and IT, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce write-offs and improve AR performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable or Deduction Management.
• Experience with retail customers is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI or Tableau a plus.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, validate, and resolve retail customer deductions with supporting documents.
• Document and maintain audit-ready records of deduction activity in the Deduction Management System.
• Identify recurring issues and collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and IT to implement corrective actions.
• Manage accrual process for promotional allowances and deductions.
• Lead or contribute to continuous improvement projects to improve AR performance.
• Perform reconciliations and ensure data accuracy.
