Job summary

Chase Taylor Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Contracts & Commercial Manager for Retrofit Projects to lead the delivery of retrofit window and door installation across public and private sectors. You will drive commercial discipline, tendering, and contract performance, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing retrofit window and door contracts.
• Proven experience delivering projects for Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Main Contractors.
• Strong tendering, estimating and bid submission experience.
• Excellent commercial awareness with a track record of improving profitability and cash flow.
• Experience managing multiple contracts across varying values.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, delivery methodologies and compliance.
• Experience in supply chain management and procurement.
• Experience with customer and contractor portals.
• Established network within retrofit/social housing or construction sectors.
• Willingness to travel between project locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, pricing and submission of competitive tenders, reviewing specs, drawings, risks and opportunities.
• Deliver multiple retrofit contracts from award through to completion, ensuring safety, timeliness, budget and quality.
• Develop project programmes, resource plans and delivery phasing to maximise profitability.
• Manage valuations, payments, variations, cash flow and final accounts where applicable.
• Monitor profitability, margins and cost recovery, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Main Contractors.
• Develop and strengthen the supply chain, including manufacturers, suppliers and installation teams.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Building Regulations and client requirements.
• Attend project sites and client meetings; represent the business professionally.
• Introduce best-practice project management, controls and reporting.
• Identify new business opportunities and future tenders through industry networks.
