Job summary

4Recruitment Services are seeking a Retirement Housing Facilities Assistant for our client based in Luton. You will manage maintenance, security and service contracts across retirement properties, delivering a focused facilities management service to residents.

In addition to guarding access, you will coordinate on-site repairs, monitor health and safety, rooms, laundry, and cleaning while supporting residents with housing matters and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management within housing or care settings.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in building management.

Responsibilities

• Be the key-holder and ensure security of communal areas.
• Manage access for residents, contractors and visitors.
• Coordinate repairs and planned maintenance with on-site teams.
• Arrange access for utility maintenance.
• Oversee laundry facilities and communal areas.
• Monitor and respond to resident complaints.
• Supervise cleaning to maintain welcoming environments.
• Support rent account monitoring and arrears awareness.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and test emergency lighting.
• Assist with fire safety procedures and risk assessments.
